Will do. I just sent our C10 away for Calibration yesterday so when it gets back I plan on running the adapter drivers.Phil Marsh wrote:Let me know how you get on with this as I would also like to install some additional wireless drivers.Mike H wrote:I also plan on installing drivers this way to use a D-Link wireless adapter like the old Windy31 to control the C10 remotely.

Do you think the C10 would bridge a connection between a usb wifi adapter and the lan connection and then create an Ad Hoc network to connect remotely with?Phil Marsh wrote:Let me know how you get on with this as I would also like to install some additional wireless drivers.Mike H wrote:I also plan on installing drivers this way to use a D-Link wireless adapter like the old Windy31 to control the C10 remotely.

That would be quite cool if it did. Are you brave enough to try and let me know?Mike H wrote:Do you think the C10 would bridge a connection between a usb wifi adapter and the lan connection and then create an Ad Hoc network to connect remotely with?

Re: C10 - Windows screen
Still waiting for our C10 to return from Leica, Lidar unit had to be replaced. In the meantime, I have purchased an Asus usb-N13 wifi adapter with SoftAp function.Phil Marsh wrote:Let me know how you get on with this as I would also like to install some additional wireless drivers.Mike H wrote:I also plan on installing drivers this way to use a D-Link wireless adapter like the old Windy31 to control the C10 remotely.

I have managed to remote desktop into our laptop using the Asus adapter in SoftAp mode with my Ipod touch and RDP lite app. Great progress so far.

Re: C10 - Windows screen
The C10 runs on Win XPe, I don't think it allows installation of software after Win XPe is installed on the target machine. I tried a few times running the setup file from the ASUS adapter disk but the files do not stay on the C10 hard drive after reboot. Anyone familiar with Win XP Embedded?

Can you access and get the command prompt up....?Mike H wrote:The C10 runs on Win XPe, I don't think it allows installation of software after Win XPe is installed on the target machine. If you can then after installing the ASUS set up disc try typing:
EWFMGR C: -COMMIT
after making your changes and just before rebooting.

Re: C10 - Windows screen
I tried to use the ewfmgr c: -commit after the software install but I get an error that there is insufficient system resources to complete request. I tried ewfmgr c: -disable right after startup then rebooted but the write filter went back to enabled.
