Geoslam into cyclone

Post by MalteHC »

Hi All

I am working with geoslam in cyclone, but this is a timeconsuming process for me, because it has some issues with importing the normals into cyclone.
Currently the process is to calculate the normals in CloudCompare and import that into cyclone, where the normals gets computed.
I havent had any luck, woth just exporting the normals from geoslam desktop:
Does any of you guys have any experience in this field and maybe a more efficient way?

Did you try to use GeoSLAM Hub to calculate the normals?
This should get good results because they can use the trajectory of the scan to compute them more stable.

You can export an e57 with normals directly from GeoSLAM Hub and it will work well inside Cyclone

You can import e57 into Cyclone and then select the imported files, right click and select generate\compute normals.

Wow Steven, Just one sentence to fix it all. I wish I`d knew it before. I spent about 3 days waiting cyclone to import a Zebd scans with Normals without any luck.
Thank Steven
