Dear All,
We have a project about scanning caves. For this project, we will buy ZEB REVO. Our customer assigned us three jobs.
The first job is to scan caves which is followed by creating meshes from these scans. For mesh creation we will use Geomagic. The last job is creating fly-through video animations (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIoGgZbZVtI) from both point clouds and meshes. First and second jobs are quite easy to accomplish. However, I have no idea about video animations.
Could you please let me know what is the best solution for video aninmation creation? Moreover, because of budget problems we prefer free solutions. We have Faro Scene 5.5, Geomagic Wrap 2015 and Geomagic Design X can we use any of these software?

We use Veesus Arena 4D to create flythroughs.
You convert an e57 of your pointcloud data to vpc with Veesus VPC Creator, open the vpc in Veesus Data Studio, create your flight path, and export as an mp4. We then import the mp4 into GoPro Studio to add any title cards or overlayed text, but this isn't essential.
It's pretty intuative software to use after only a short while using it.

FARO has an app for making videos within SCENE. Easy to use. Best to make a project point cloud first which speeds up the video production quite a bit. Free demo time if you don't mind their logo in your videos.
I purchased the app long ago and use it very often. Great app.

I am pretty partial to the video app in Scene, but Cloud Compare now has an easy animation tool that would be great with Zeb data...not to mention it is free(but worthy of donation).
Try the eye-dome filter on the Zeb data prior to using the animation tool. I find it helps add some much needed sharpness and boundary defintion to colorless point data.
There should be a tutorial or two on using the animation plugin for cloud compared, but needless to say it is as easy as it gets.
Good luck.

Mustafa,
As Sim said, you can use Arena4D to produce your videos. Like the others you can add "edge enhancement" lighting to make the details stand out. You can also colour balance and shade to help too. Finally you can output not only video, but stereo video and 360 panoramic video if you really want.
The full advanced features are free for 14 days, and after that you just have basic video for free (no 360 video.. but the rest remains).
You can also have direct access to the developers right here for support to make sure you get the best out of it you can.

What JCoco said. This is a process I've used a few times - and it's pretty intuitive. Some more information here:I am pretty partial to the video app in Scene, but Cloud Compare now has an easy animation tool that would be great with Zeb data...not to mention it is free(but worthy of donation).

Pointools is great for video fly throughs, but I've also got some nice results using RECAP - which has the fastest and easiest interface that I've ever used - creating smooth animations with nice key points.
