Dear All,

The IAFSM is pleased to offer 4 Pre Conference Training sessions on Monday, November 9, 2015.

There is no extra cost for these training sessions - the cost is included in the conference registration fee.

The following training sessions will be offered at the Catamaran Resort. When registering for the conference, please select one all day training session, or two half day sessions, to attend.

Autodesk ReCap with Eric Richie - half day

FARO Advanced Training with David Dustin and Eric Dustin

Ground Penetrating Radar Training with Sara Gale - half day

RIEGL Laeer Scanner Training with Tan Nguyen

Thank you to all the people who have committed to running these workshops. The conference is really shaping up nicely.

We've had great support from the community following our successful inaugural conference in 2014. The workshops are a great coup, and plenty of exciting presentations in the conference. Plenty of learning for lidar / 3d practitioners no matter your discipline!

Registrations still available

Group,
As part of the advanced training day that Eric and I will be doing, I think I'll be incorporating some freestyle data. I have been very impressed with the quality of the FS data with the release of Scene 5.5.

Below is an image with FS data from mock scene we set up while working with the Guam Police Department.
Sadly, Lisa the manikin lost her arm to a machete..
Also a link to the combined FS and Focus data in a fly-through (be sure to watch it in HD).
Looking forward to seeing you there.
David

The IAFSM is looking forward to an exciting event with the San Diego County Sheriff's Office:
IAFSM's blast workshop has been planned in conjunction with the San Diego County Sheriff's Office and is a rare opportunity to participate in a simulated IED event.  Participants can expect a brief welcome and presentation on the facilities and are welcome to document the scene both prior to and after the blast with various technologies including hand scanners, terrestrial laser scanners, photogrammetry and UAVs.

Be sure to register for this event as only conference attendees are permitted to attend. Registration is still available.

You can register for the conference here http://www.iafsm.org/event-1920424

simulated IED event
Sounds like Disneyland for my destructive side  Can't wait until this workshop starts, so I can see my all friends again and take a break from work! Only a couple weeks to wait!
