Hi all
I have a five floors elevator cube scan, i need to compare the wall of the fist floor with the other floors, is there a way to make a plane only of the first floor wall in CC, and compare the upper floors wall with that plane?, or what can i do?
Thanks in advance

Re: Elevators Cube Comparation
Yes it should be possible.
First you can use the 'scissors' tool to cut the first floor then use the 'Tools > Fit > Plane' to fit a plane on this floor wall (or walls if it's a cube?).
Then the trickiest part will be to register each upper floor with the first floor. Anyway I guess you'll have to segment each floor individually (still with the scissors tool). Then you can simply vertically translate each floor?
Eventually, you'll be able to compare each upper floor wall with the fitted plane (Tools > Distances > Cloud to Mesh Dist.).
And what do you want to demonstrate by the way?

how can i move down one of the walls only in z axis to compare with plane? Then the trickiest part will be to register each upper floor with the first floor. We do the scan because the elevators that they buyed is now here in the building but OTIS theam make a bit of simple measurements and the elevators dont fit in the cubesAnd what do you want to demonstrate by the way?
So we already give to the customer the cube sections with distances and verticality of colums, but i want to give them a colored comparation to view the major problem floor
Thanks and sorry for my english

Re: Elevators Cube Comparation
To apply a translation, simply select the cloud and use the 'Edit > Apply transformation' tool (the second tab will let you apply a translation in a very simple way).
You can also move the clouds interactively (but it may be less precise).
See the documentations for both tools here:

P.S.: you can also create a real 'cube' with the 'Primitive factory' then displace this cube around (with the two above tools).
