I'm interested to know a bit more about the accuracy. A 3D accuracy of 30mm is quoted, but at what range?
Much like with the new Leica, people are going to be interested in using this as a mobile scanner.
Can registration be done in Cyclone using targets, if so, to what accuracy? or is it all cloud to cloud? really interested to learn more about the registration process.
It would appear to be short(er) range.
The specs say "100m usable range", so I'm guessing 50m and the software can tell if its in the first phase of the longest wavelength and then puts everything else in the 2nd.
(but it could just as easily be the 5/10/20 meters we see in other vendors specs)

At 3m, 30mm is 1% "error", maybe.
At 100m, 30mm is .03% "error", maybe, but less probable.
(VS BLK360's - "it has a range of 60 meters and scans with 4 mm accuracy" according to Leica specs.

Too bad we can't get all of the vendors to run a set of industry standard tests on
the same "targets", like the Univ of New Orleans test plate.
Also publish a set of "industry standard" specs and then any additional ones they would like to publish.
E57 is an industry standard format.
Why can't we have industry standard specs that mean the same thing to everyone?
