3D PDF

Post by ExcelUC »

Hi All,

Does anyone know of any software other than Geomagic, that can produce 3D PDF's from mesh files?

Thanks,
Cliff

Thinkbox's Sequoia has the output capability to generate 3D PDF files, but I have not tried it since our exported files are too large to be read by Acrobat.

I use the SimLab plugin for Rhino - Looks like they also have one for Sketchup, 3Ds Max, AutoCAD etc:

Here are some sample PDFs I made:

Thanks guys!

I have emailed a few of these to see if I can get a demo to try a few of our meshes.

FYI: Sequoia doesn't offer it in the current version however they have told me that the version under current V1.1 development will offer it.

Thanks,

Check these guys out...

Hands down the best 3DPDF application. Not cheap but you can even publish pointcloud data with models.

Not a squillion point pointcloud but a fairly decent size.

And you can import and create templates like to publish it like one of your stock drawings.

I'll see if I can pull out an example.

Cheers,

Chris
