Intensity Import to Clouds2Max

Post by 3DForensics »

Hello All,

Some users of Clouds2Max have asked how we can get intensity values to show in 3ds Max. Although we don't have a quick button to switch between visualization modes, it is possible to simply substitude the same point cloud with one that has intensity created as rgb values.

Here is a quick video using CloudCompare to convert the intensity to greyscale values and then importing back into 3ds Max with Clouds2Max.

Cheers,

Very nice! Thanks guys!

For those who don't know about CloudCompare, it's a free, open source program, and a darn neat little tool.
You can pick it up at the author's webpage here....
