export data on surface levelness?

Post by npara »

Hi,

I can show the heatmap in a report, but I would like to export a grid of points from some UCS as a dxf or pointcloud. How would this be accomplished?

Also, when first created a default grid is created, but then disappears. Would it be also possible to publish a table showing grid locations and the level info for that grid location?

Thanks,
melshy

Hi, sorry I'm asking about a specific function "surface levelness" inside of Cyclone 3dr.

Thanks,

Hi Nelson,
yeah, I wish we could deliver better way to reports grids.

Maybe one proposal for floor levelness is as follow:
1. Use the tool Points On Grid in the Extract / Cloud menu
2. Color the points according to height (Analysis / Along direction)
3. export the point cloud

Does that work?

He has a point. I would not get hung up on 1 platform for your reports. Its a bad business move. Get some Adobe Illestrator skills and build out your own styled reports.

Hi Gilles,

That helps - thank you. Although grid projection direction insists on using the WCS regardless of the current UCS orientation. I'll send you some screenshots.

Thanks,

Hi Carbix, Melshy,

I admit I'm confused? I'm in the Cyclone 3dr forum asking a question about a specific Cyclone 3dr function, so I'm not sure what you guys are speaking about? Sorry if the wires got crossed somewhere.

Thanks,

This is the LGS forum, you're in the 3DR thread. We are offering you some general advice. My final answer to this is that 3DR is not ready for prime time with regards to FF FL reports or even visual reports for that matter. Continuing to trudge down this method will waste time for you and ultimately make the rest of us look bad, as it is not the best solution by any means.

Hi Carbix,

Ok, duly noted. Which is the LGS forum though? For me it does appear that I posted to the Leica Cyclone 3dr forum.

*edit ok I see you referenced the 3dr thread, no problem.

Thanks,

Hi Gilles,

Ok, was able to produce what I needed with extract cloud, then project on-grid and analyze along a direction. The last thing is to get a data table for the gridded points. Not sure on that one.

Thanks,
