Hi all,
I was trying to create a basic model from this set of data in cyclone 3dr. Since I am quite new to this software I am finding it quite difficult to understand how to go about this and what are the best practices used. I've been trying to use the building extractor tool but faces are not being recognized as well I want them to. I'm attaching the data and a screenshot so maybe someone can give it a try and help me out with some basic modeling here . (Using cyclone 3dr survey module)

Re: Creating a basic model
Hello Clive,
I can see that your model has many planar surfaces so Building Extractor is the appropriate tool to create a basic model.
Some tips before starting Building Extractor:
- create a UCS that is aligned to the model: the algorithms will automatically detect when the walls are supposed to aligned along the UCS axis
- create a limit box and hide it: this limit box can be permanently edited inside the command by using CTRL+SPACE shortcut to start/quit the edition mode and focus on the area of interest
To get onboard, here are some materials:

Shortcuts for Building Extractor:

Finally, you can find in the help menu 1 Beginner's Guide Exercise and 1 Practical Exercise on Building Extractor.
To download the data:
Beginners's guide sample: https://www.cyclone3dr.com/LastSamplesB ... sGuide.php
Pratical Exercises: https://www.cyclone3dr.com/LastPracticals.php
I hope it's helpful and please send me an email if you have questions.

By the way, I couldn't access to the google drive link you posted, I guess you need to share the permissions.
