Since I have used 3D Reshaper quite well, and I have tried to use Geomagic Wrap, PointCab, etc. too. Most of the time I need to do is the as-built and design comparison. Most likely can do is the color pattern painted on the reference mesh for showing the deviation value. However I've still never seen any software can do the somethings like "Contour Lines" in specific interval to show the deviation in the Mesh-Mesh or PC-Mesh or PC-PC comparison.
Anyone know which software can do it quite well in this issue?
Henry
which software can do "contours" on Mesh-Mesh Comparison?

Hi Henry,
not sure this is what you are looking for but in the 3DReshaper 2016MR1 version (available as a Beta version since August), we added a new command named "Localize Values".
The idea is that it allows to identify where the deviations shift over a threshold.
See polylines in the image attached. Colors of the polylines are defined according to the threshold deviations
Any chance this is what you are looking for?

Hi Henry
The new Geomagic Control X is a very powerful software that will allow you to compare to mesh to mesh and also point cloud to mesh. It will also create full 3D colour deviation maps which include the options for contour lines. If you would like a demonstration of these features please PM me and I can organise some sample data and a workflow generated around your business.
Regards

Thank you Gilles.
I have download the latest version and try it, its quite good since I use 3DR a long time, no this function before. Good improvement.
However, do you think you will also add the function of adding label on the line to show the deviation? Then it will be perfect.
Happy to use 3DR.

Hi Henry,
thank you for your nice feedback! Always good to hear that we did something which is needed by the users!
As for adding labels, note the check box "Display Labels" within the Localize Values command.
If you check it, the labels will be visible while you are in the command and then created if you exit with this option checked!
