Free Webinar: The New EdgeWise 5.0—Four Major Technology Advancements for Faster Modeling
Hi Everybody,
We’re launching EdgeWise 5.0 in April and I’m hosting a webinar on Wednesday 3/25 at 1pm EDT to give everyone a first look at the new software. This release has a ton of upgrades and technology advancements to make your modeling workflow even faster. Here are just a few of the upgrades:
• New pipe extraction algorithms that virtually eliminate false positives--we've been working on these for a while and I think you'll be impressed with the results
• New technology to automate the extraction of gridded steel and concrete structures (Note: this may not be ready to show on the webinar…we’re still perfecting it!)
• New Plant 3D plug-in that brings EdgeWise intelligent models directly into Plant 3D--many P3D users have been asking for this
• Improved Revit plugin that enables import of even out-of-tolerance as-built elbows
• The new photo-realistic visualization engine called ClearView™
I’ll be joined on the webinar by two firms who beta-tested EdgeWise 5.0 and will share their impressions of the new technologies.
Please join me, Kris Nixon, Principle at Meridian 3D, and Lewis Boxer, Technical Director at Advanced 3D Laser Solutions on Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 at 1pm EDT for this first-ever look at EdgeWise 5.0.

Great news,
The auto extraction for gridded steel WILL be ready to show on our webinar this Wednesday (March 25th) at 1pm EDT. It's a fundamentally new and better way to model steel members--I think you'll be impressed. Click here to register: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/regist ... 0173428225

Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your post and letting all know about the webinar.
I'm in Western Australia and probably would not be able to attend. I was wondering if a video will get recorded from webinar and will be sent to who ever has registered for webinar?

Yes...everyone who registers receives a video link within a day or two of the event. So you don't really need to attend the live event unless you want to participate in questions. Should be an interesting session.

Kevin showed me a demo of the auto-extraction for steel yesterday (first time I'd seen it!) and I gotta say it's pretty amazing. The time savings/productivity enhancement for anyone modeling as-built structure should be huge!
