Hi there lsf,
We have had a dpi-7 sitting around and are wondering how to register the dpi-7 hand scanner output into our scene 5.4 projects? The dpi-7 has some very odd export settings that I'm not familiar with.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

Figured out a solution for now using the .ptx export. Registering well.

Re: Handheld scan data into full scan data
You should try exporting a .ply or .dp file from the DPI-7 and then use CloudCompare to turn it into an E57.
Hope this helps.

I was just doing an exercise today. CloudCompare can open the native file formats for both the DP and Faro formats. I found ply directly into CloudCompare works well for the DP scanner. Just be attentive to your units.
