Misread Calibration Chart (GeoMgc Studio 2013)

Post by ArchaeoGISci »

Are there any veteran Geomagic users who might be able to assist with calibration trouble?

I am using Geomagic Studio's Scan workflow with a Konica Minolta Vivid 9i and Zeta6104(fast) turntable.
+ The scanner, fitted with MIDDLE lens, has been calibrated.
+ I have repeatedly calibrated the white balance.
+ Lamps are white fluorescents, scans themselves come out are perfectly fine.

However, the problems are a) I find that I am getting a "radial array" of scan elements (as if the turntable has not been calibrated), and b) when calibrating the scanner, I have found that the calibration chart isn't properly scanned. Unlike the Live Window results in the UT Austin wiki (https://wikis.utexas.edu/display/SOAdig ... ning+Guide), the black stripe at the center of the scanning chart is being scanned,as if it's not black--it's being picked up instead.

See here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ngymd92iezbl9 ... bright.PNG

I've tried scanning in different levels of light, different scanning angles, and distances from the scanner. Can anyone offer any suggestions to settings or anything that I might try?

The setup looks like this:

I would appreciate your assistance!
Many thanks,
