3d Scanning Solution for Textile Scanning
I'm looking 3d for Scanning method for scaning textiles and other small textures, what should i look for in scanner? Is there any product i could buy? Im looking to achieve similar effect to this https://vimeo.com/70992723.

Because of the scale, you could use a photogrammetry based solution. It would seem to me that the quality of the pattern is what matters most. Look at products like PhotoModeler, PhotoScan or similar solutions.
If you want to use a scanner, then you could use the David Laser Scanner (SLS-2).
Other options would mean a bigger jump in price.

Check the last couple comments on that video. It sounds like you might be able to get them to build you one. It's a pretty specialized application and I doubt you'll be able to find any off the shelf mass-produced versions.mbugajski wrote:Is there any product i could buy? Although you might be able to get a laser scanner that could reproduce the geometry with enough fidelity that's a pretty small part of the overall material properties. Especially for materials like leather or satin that exhibit subsurface scattering and fresnel effects you really need to do photogrametry with multiple light sources to try and capture them.
