PS: I think I may see if I can get that mesh 3D printed as a paper weight. Can anyone recommend a good 3D print house?

Carefull with the 3D print as the smaller parts might break :o

I use STSOoE on a regular basis and I must say it's a great tool

Is that a costly tool? I need something similar to give to our surveyors!

You just have to watch out for the "maintenance contract" that comes with it...apparently people need "breaks" !!!

ha ha, having been out last night I can safely say there is no such thing as sleeping during the daylight hours!!

Mild dozing perhaps! Although I'm pretty sure that related to attempting to write some of my dissertation!

I would love to know what size PC you are using to process that data in Geomagic. The main problem I'm having creating a reasonable mesh of scene in Geomagic is processing anything above about 25 million points.

If i bring in a PTS file above that size I can't even sample the data down before my PC decides its had enough and sits idle for about 8 hours !
