Very interesting to see how knowledge of the carvings has progressed in the last ten years. I remember when the carvings were first scanned in 2002 (see link below). Now the scanning and the software have evolved to show things in much higher definition.

I remember seeing the carvings on the stones when I was very young and visited the site. Before they stopped the public going anywhere near them.
