Cones and Adapters for Trajectory Spheres

Post by 3DForensics » Fri Apr 28, 2017 3:39 pm

Hello All,

For those of you who are scanning and using trajectory rods plus the Koppa trajectory spheres, there were a few issues we were running into, namely:

1. We would run out of the 1/4" trajectory cones as most trajectory kits only provide you with about 8 cones
2. We did not have cones that fit onto the 3/16" rods. This is bizarre since most trajectory kits come with smaller sized rods but they don't supply the cones?!?!
3. There Koppa trajectory spheres have a 1/4" diameter hole and they are loose on 3/16" rods.

So, my team came up with a small kit to help make everything a little bit easier and compatible with smaller sized rods. We have been using this on some projects and I no longer need to be worried about running out of trajectory cones!

So, this is our kit:

What comes in the kit:

12-1/4" cones
8-3/16" cones
24-3/16" adapters (downsizes the 1/4" spheres so they fit on a 3/16" rod)

1/4" Cones

3/16" Cones with Sphere Adapters

We are selling these for $75 including shipping anywhere in North America. Custom kits are available if you need them.

Contact me offline if anyone wants a kit.

Cheers,

Eugene

I wasn't aware there was a problem with the ¼" standard on the thru mount on the trajectory spheres - I will see what I can do to start including the ¼ to 3/16 adapters with all our trajectory targets. Since I do not make or provide any trajectory rods, I doubt we will add any cones to the line, but if there is a need, I can look into it -

Most people use the 1/4" rods but when the caliber gets smaller like a .223 or a .22, then the 1/4" rod doesn't always fit through the bullet hole and you need the 3/16" rods. The spheres are loose in that case. I would say most of the time, it's not an issue but I have run into this before and I would have preferred to have been prepared.

Cheers,

Eugene

I am happy to say that effective today, I am shipping all trajectory kits with ¼ - 3/16" adapters.

Anyone with a set of Koppa trajectory targets that needs a set of adapters are welcome to comtact me and I'll see that you get some.

However, anyone needing trajectory cones should contact Eugene, as I do not yet have those available.

Thanks! Tad
