Getting work

Post by tbwester »

How have you approached mining companies in the past?

I have three good sized open pit mines near me.

I'm going to offer them volume surveys and slope monitoring and try to introduce them to the technology.

What has your experience been? Have you approached them like this, or through an engineering company they already work through?

Try a different angle. Approach the contractors who supply the buckets for the crawlers/diggers. They need to check cubic rating and fabricate consumables (bushes in the lugs) as well as monitoring wear. Most places are too remote for spares and no time to have engineers take measurements. Just completed this scan in Kalimantan.
