Best Software for the Job

Post by Geoscan »

Maptek, Sitemonitor, Datamine, Micromine and Vulcan what we need is software capable of creating smooth surfaces, Volumes, Slide detection would be nice. Making the choice for software is a hard one to make with all the options out there, Can someone with experience in tunneling and mining please help me choose which way to go. Thanks

I also use 3D ReShaper and its great with large pointclouds. I have just recently meshed a large terrain pointcloud of about 80 million points with no problems. The best thing about ReShaper, apart from the low cost, the fact that the terrain scan I worked on had a lot of long grass in it and ReShaper was able to treat this as noise and provide a very accurate model of the actual ground beneath the grass.

If you are interested in hiring 3D ReShaper then give a shout and I can arrange.

Hi

Amberg from Switzerland haves a solution and also FARO provides a tunneling software also. Both of this software is using in real big tunneling projects.
