It sounds like the two worlds are colliding in good ways!
Once again thanks Matthew! I just read through everything and I feel a little better about the situation. We are on a path to success even if we are only at the starting line.

The pdf presentation here was extremely helpful, and entertaining. I would give a gallon of my blood to have the audio that went along with it, but please don't hold me to that because I hate needlesRob was one of three people that presented on IFC in an excellent session called:
IFC, The good the bad and the ugly.
This was a presentation from 3 presenters.
1 AECOSIM expert,
1 Revit expert and...
1 Archicad expert... (Rob)
The class was a warts and all session about the pros and cons of IFC use in the 3 different pieces of software.
You can find the class here.

I don't think audio was recorded for that session
Next best thing you could do would be to follow the three of them on twitter.
Even better would be to interact with them on twitter!

Nigel Davies - @NigelPDavies

Hi everyone,
in New zealand we are using a lot 12D (which isn't my favorite software...) and we try to understand how to export an IFC file and import it to Revit. Have you already tried? How good is the result?
