I've been hired to perform laser scanning and slab analysis on a heritage listed building. Something I've done many times before, usually via Cyclone, 3D Reshaper, or Cloud Compare.
However, this building is different...with over 200 separate slabs at varying heights, I'll have to get into a serious rhythm of knocking out these analyses if I hope to be finished this decade. What's worse is that each slab needs surface, soffit, and thickness analysis. For this my current workflows will need to enlist 3D Reshaper, Cloud Compare, & Civil 3D.
Might anyone know a faster workflow/software than the classic ones mentioned above?

Re: Floor flatness & levelness analysis
Hi Mark,
How did the project go? I normally use Trimble RealWorks for floor flatness / levelness. But for all the other required analysis I would think another CAD program like C3D should work better perhaps.
Do you have some results perhaps? I would love to see the deliverables.

If you already use leica/cyclone workflow have you tried 3DR that will assist in a lot of those workflows with ease.

Re: Floor flatness & levelness analysis
Pardon the late reply. The project went well...I used 3DR & Cloud Compare for this one, with the results linked into Revit for presentation. I guess this kind of analysis is becoming more sought after, as it has started to dominate my scan requests.Danie83 wrote: ↑Wed May 06, 2020 12:11 pm Hi Mark,

See rough example below.
