Interesting..... not sure i would make a business out of it. I agree the cost of these cars is massive, but the time to fully reverse engineer one is greater.

They show the scan of the body of the car with a colour map, you can clearly see the body isn't a perfect mirror with the other side. The A surface is relatively easy to capture and model, its nice and smooth and about the aerodynamics and look. The b-surface or underside contains strengthening strips, mounting locations, clearance to the engine, and then the edges with all the door mount positions etc.

Its impressive and a great outcome with the finished model, but my god that's a lot of work.
